Ranks and files in Nigerian Police.
The Nigerian Police Force is Divided into two files which is the Junior Officers and the Junior Officers.
The Junior Officers who are Also known as police recruits spent a minimum of 9 months in the Police Training School before they are accepted into the Nigerian Police Force.

The Senior Officers are those Officers who joined the Nigerian Police Force as a graduate and they are given higher ranks more than the police recruits. Or those Officers who joined the Nigerian Police Force through the Nigerian Police Academy (POLAC).
Those who joined the Police Force as a Graduate Spend nothing less than 12 months in the police training before they graduate and become senior officers in the Nigerian Police while those who joined through the Nigerian Police Academy spend nothing less than 5 years in the police Academy before they graduated and became senior Police Officers.
Those who joined through the Nigerian Police Academy tend to be promoted faster than the ones that Joined through the ASP Program.
